This is the way to start the day, a bacon butty, a hot coffee & a street-funny play from the prolific Scottish playwright, Doglas Maxwell. It has a cast of two, ex-Emmerdale actress Joanna Tope & the young, up & coming Scott Fletcher. She plays the recently widowed owner of Love Logistics, while Scott is a memer of the warehouse floor. Together they enact the bridging of the class divide through Mrs Love’s newfound enthusiasm for swearing.


An interview with the Playwright


At first all the fucks & cunts were a bit much for such an early hour, but they soon became easier to listen to as Mrs Love began her endearing relationship with her worker & this small but not insignificant world of words. It is as if she had grown bored of the Daily Mail’s crossword, & wanted to explore another of the parameters of language. An education in swearing past & present, & packed with funny lines & a sparkling performance by Scott Fletcher, whose body-language had me in stictches, this play easily earns its… FOUR STARS
