Pleasance Dome

6-26 August

‘An epic queue should be taken as a sign of a great show,’ I thought as I arrived at the venue a sell-out breakfast show. It was a perfect way to push through my hangover, sipping  complimentary coffee and nibbling on a croissant while narrowly avoiding the seating crisis unravelling before me eyes.

Once safely seated I watched a very amusing satirical take on Americas foreign policies which brought down the house, a playground of name-calling with just a hint of, Borat, engulfing the audience with laughter. This continued through the show, with glimpses of the cowardice of the human psyche & satirical observations of social commentary, laced with fantasy and laugh-out-loud undertows. All-in-all a good, watershed-friendly show, just one of three sets being performed in rotation throughout august. However, the show is not that inspiring, & if you like slice of mediocrity with your morning cup of tea then you will love these guys THREE STARS
